Product Description

 

The fixation of insulation cotton on the hull is a crucial step in shipbuilding and maintenance. The traditional fixing method is prone to loosening due to seawater corrosion and ship vibration, which affects the insulation effect. As a specialized hardware accessory, ship copper plated collision nails are tightly integrated with the ship structure through welding technology, providing stable support for insulation cotton, while also possessing characteristics such as rust prevention and weather resistance, becoming an important solution in ship insulation engineering.

 

Copper plated nails are made of galvanized iron as the substrate, and the surface is covered with a copper layer through electroplating process to form a copper zinc composite structure. Copper layer can effectively isolate corrosive media such as seawater and salt spray, extending its service life; The zinc layer serves as a sacrificial anode to further protect the iron substrate from oxidation. Its design includes three parts: nail body, locking plate, and fixing cap: the nail body is responsible for penetrating the insulation cotton and welding it to the ship's steel plate; The locking plate is mechanically interlocked to fix the edge of the insulation cotton; The fixed cap covers the top of the nail body to prevent scratching the insulation material or personnel.

 

 

 

 

Product Features

 

Common materials include low-carbon steel (such as Q195) and aluminum alloy, among which aluminum studs are lighter in weight and have better corrosion resistance than stainless steel, making them suitable for aluminum structures in ships. ‌
Surface treatment is mostly copper plating or zinc plating. Copper plating technology improves conductivity and welding firmness, and its anti-corrosion performance is better than ordinary galvanized steel nails. ‌
The length can be extended up to 150 millimeters, and with the use of specialized glue and general cap accessories, it can compress insulation materials (such as rock wool) and prevent loosening. ‌
