Product Description
Marine collision nails, commonly known as "insulation nails" or "thermal insulation nails" in the shipbuilding and construction industry, are key hardware accessories used in the construction and maintenance of ships to fix insulation materials (such as rock wool, ceramic wool, glass wool, etc.) in bulkheads, decks, and other parts. It is not a rivet or bolt traditionally used to connect ship structures, but a fastener specifically designed to serve ship insulation, sound insulation, and fire protection systems. Its core function is to provide mechanical support for the insulation layer, ensure that the insulation material is tightly attached to the ship structure, prevent detachment, and maintain temperature stability and noise control in the internal environment of the ship.
Product Features
Common materials include low-carbon steel (such as Q195) and aluminum alloy, among which aluminum studs are lighter in weight and have better corrosion resistance than stainless steel, making them suitable for aluminum structures in ships.
Surface treatment is mostly copper plating or zinc plating. Copper plating technology improves conductivity and welding firmness, and its anti-corrosion performance is better than ordinary galvanized steel nails.
The length can be extended up to 150 millimeters, and with the use of specialized glue and general cap accessories, it can compress insulation materials (such as rock wool) and prevent loosening.
Moderate softness, firm welding and corrosion resistance, in line with marine industry standards.
