Product Description

 

Collisions play a crucial role in the fixation process of ship insulation materials. Their main task is to ensure that the insulation material is firmly attached to the hull, in order to achieve the goals of insulation, energy conservation, and fire prevention. Regarding the specifications for collision nails, usually 6 to 12 collision nails should be used per square meter, with a diameter of approximately 10mm and a length of approximately 50mm. However, the specific number of collision nails used needs to be adjusted according to the thickness of the insulation material and the actual needs of the ship.

When selecting collision nails, it is necessary to ensure that their quality meets national standards and that there is no oxidation or corrosion on the surface of the steel. During the installation process, it should be ensured that the collision pin is directly flat on the insulation material to avoid air entrapment. At the same time, the position of the collision pin should avoid possible external forces and not be punched to maintain an appropriate gap between the insulation material and the hull.

 

 

 

 

Product Features

 

Common materials include low-carbon steel (such as Q195) and aluminum alloy, among which aluminum studs are lighter in weight and have better corrosion resistance than stainless steel, making them suitable for aluminum structures in ships. ‌
Surface treatment is mostly copper plating or zinc plating. Copper plating technology improves conductivity and welding firmness, and its anti-corrosion performance is better than ordinary galvanized steel nails. ‌
It is usually made by riveting galvanized carbon steel wire and galvanized sheet, with 6 evenly distributed holes designed to facilitate adhesive penetration and fixation. ‌
The length can be extended up to 150 millimeters, and with the use of specialized glue and general cap accessories, it can compress insulation materials (such as rock wool) and prevent loosening. ‌
Moderate softness, firm welding and corrosion resistance, in line with marine industry standards. ‌
